Job Details:

• Full-time, day shift, Monday-Friday (8:00 A.M.- 4:30P.M.)

• Proficient in computers with the ability to use various computer applications such as Microsoft Office, ERP, etc.
• Good oral and written communication skills in order to identify problem areas and demonstrated ability to manage
• supplier relations and reconcile user department needs to corporate goals required
• Ability to supervise and accept responsibility for the work of others
• Capable of forecasting and solving problems

• Purchases production materials, components, MRO supplies, equipment, outsourced services, and other goods and services required to support operations in Canada.
• Reviews production material requirements to ensure required materials and components are ordered to support scheduled production
• Works closely with the Material Manager to monitor inventory levels, supplier lead times, and open orders to identify potential shortages and maintain material availability
• Obtains and evaluates supplier quotations and negotiates pricing, delivery, payment terms, lead times, and commercial conditions based on cost, quality, and operational requirements
• Reviews production BOMs, supplier pricing, and applicable OEM/customer contracted pricing to identify pricing discrepancies, customer-specific requirements, cost-saving opportunities, and potential resourcing opportunities
• Issues and maintains purchase orders, confirms supplier acknowledgements, and expedites materials as required to ensure accurate pricing, quantities, delivery requirements, and ensures on-time delivery
• Attends weekly Production Review meetings and provides updates on material availability, shortages, supplier concerns, and purchasing actions
• Manages assigned MRO purchasing requirements, including maintenance, facilities, tooling, safety, quality, IT, office, HR, outsourced services, VMI, general operational supplies and annual requoting
• Works with suppliers to resolve pricing, delivery, quality, invoice, material, and performance-related concerns
• Monitors supplier performance and completes annual supplier performance reviews and scorecards, including quality, delivery, cost, and service performance
• Manages supplier compliance requirements and records, including CMRT, EMRT, CQIs, ISO/IATF certifications, corrective actions, audit support, and follow-up on outstanding, incomplete, or expired documentation
• Cross-trains with other buyers/logistics and provides coverage during vacations, absences, or increased workload
• Coordinates with Production, Manufacturing, Quality, Maintenance, Finance, Shipping & Receiving, and other departments to support purchasing requirements
• Supports compliance with company purchasing procedures, approval requirements, quality systems, safety requirements, and applicable regulatory requirements
• Positively contributes to a healthy corporate culture by building trust, teamwork, respect, accountability, and continuous improvement
• Manages supplier compliance requirements and records

• Must be able to lift heavy material (ex. up to 20 lbs.)
• Must be able to stand and or sit for extended periods of time
• Occasional overtime and travel may be required

**Wage range for this position is $65,000-$75,000
