Set Up Technician
The Set Up Technician is responsible for the efficient and precise set up, adjustment, and maintenance of injection molding machines. This role is crucial in ensuring a smooth transition between production runs and validations, minimizing downtime, and contributing to the overall success of our operations. This individual will comply with provincial and federal legislation, company and health & safety policies and ISO quality program and procedures

Set Up Technician
The Set Up Technician is responsible for the efficient and precise set up, adjustment, and maintenance of injection molding machines. Job Details:
- Full Time Monday-Friday, Saturdays as needed
- Days/Afternoons Rotation
- 10.5 hour shifts, paid lunch
- Afternoon Premium

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of arithmetic, geometry, and their applications
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the capability of recognizing and solving problems
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks
- Ability to readily determine the correct tools and equipment needed to do a job
- Capable of being certified to operate heavy equipment such as a forklift and crane (installing molds of up to 100,000lbs)
- Must be able to stand/sit for extended periods of time
- Must be able to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with body, arms, and/or legs
- Must be able to lift heavy material
Responsibilities:
- Perform initial set-up of tools and components on Boring Mill, Automatic, and Semi-Automatic machines
- Load and unload materials from pallets, skids, trucks, and lifting devices as required
- Empty metal chip bins from machine work stations as required
- General housekeeping of working area, shop floor, etc.
- Participate in continuous improvement tasks and projects as required
- Positively contribute to a healthy corporate culture by building trust, teamwork, respect, and continuous improvement
- Other duties as assigned
