Job Summary:
The Paint Coordinator supports the Paint Supervisor in monitoring, troubleshooting, and improving paint application processes to meet production standards, as well as monitoring, troubleshooting, improving and maintaining programs for Fanuc robots. This individual will comply with provincial and federal legislation, company and health & safety policies as well as ISO 9001 & IATF 16949 quality program and procedures.
Education and Experience:
The Paint Coordinator supports the Paint Supervisor in monitoring, troubleshooting, and improving paint application processes to meet production standards, as well as monitoring, troubleshooting, improving and maintaining programs for Fanuc robots. This individual will comply with provincial and federal legislation, company and health & safety policies as well as ISO 9001 & IATF 16949 quality program and procedures.
Education and Experience:
- Post-secondary education in a technical field
- Preferred experience in automotive paint manufacturing
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Proficient in computers with ability to use various computer applications such as Microsoft Office, etc
- Experience in the operation of paint line systems
- Experience with robot programming Fanuc 6 axis.
- Hands-on experience in troubleshooting paint line defects
- Working Knowledge of ISO and IATF requirements
- Capable of forecasting and solving problems
- Time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks
- Ability to adapt and welcome change in a positive manner
- Willingness to learn new applications and processes as related to paint and the paint line
Job Requirements and Responsibilities
- Assist Quality with quality inspection requirements and part testing reporting activities
- Assist with program launches, trials, and process changes to ensure program launches are on time and meet Customer requirements
- Working knowledge of paint mixing and let down rations
- Assist the design of part hanging orientation and rack for new projects
- Create, modify, and maintain databases related to the paint application process
- Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives on production metrics
- Assist with developing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures of the paint process
- Participate in Root Cause and Countermeasure Investigations for paint defects
- Participate in scheduled (with appropriate personnel) in Wastewater Treatment maintenance and testing
- Positively contribute to a healthy corporate culture by building trust, teamwork, respect, and continuous improvement
- Other duties as assigned
Working conditions
- Must be able to stand and or sit for extended periods of time
- Must be able to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with body, arms and/or legs
- Must be able to lift heavy material (ex. up to 20 lbs.)
- Exposure to noise and paint chemicals
- Occasional overtime and travel may be required on specific instances

**Wage range: $24-$28+ depending on experience
