Mold Maker
The Weekend Mold Maker is responsible for fabricating and repairing molds. This individual will comply with provincial and federal legislation, company and health and safety policies, and ISO quality program and procedures.

Mold Maker
The Weekend Mold Maker is responsible for fabricating and repairing molds. This individual will comply with provincial and federal legislation, company and health and safety policies, and ISO quality program and procedures.
Job Details:
- Weekend Shift (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
- Monthly Rotation (6AM-6PM, 6PM-6AM)
- Weekend Premium

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Enrolled in OYAP and/or Completion of post secondary education OR Completion of secondary school and a four-year apprenticeship OR college diploma in a manufacturing field or a related discipline
- Proficient in computers with the ability to use various computer applications depending on skill level such as Microsoft Office, etc.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, schematics, drawings, manuals and specifications
- Knowledge of arithmetic, geometry and their applications
- Capable of recognizing and solving problems
- Time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks
- Ability to adapt and welcome change in a positive manner
- Capable of operating heavy equipment such as a forklift and crane
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and follow company plans, blue-print designs, and complex work process diagrams
- Build components using appropriate equipment such as metal cutting machines, saws, drills, grinders, lathes, mills, etc.
- Measure for quality control using precision tools and equipment to detect equipment malfunctions, out of tolerance parts, and other defects, reporting these to the supervisor
- Fabricate new parts to replace defective parts during mold build, maintenance, or overhaul
- Attend customer service calls as needed
- General housekeeping of working area
- Other duties as assigned
Wage:
$30/hour + Weekend Premium
